When life gives you lemons....make lemonade.
Saturday Scott flew from Boise to Lubbock TX for a four week rotation, the airport had some difficulties and they were rerouted to Amarillo TX. After a couple of hours waiting, a sweet lady from the ranch drove all the way there to get him and back since the reroute flight and wait would take longer and they still had an hour commute to the ranch. So he made it safely there that night. I received an email from him last night letting me know that Verizon is not a carrier in the area and the only way for us to be in contact is via email! Bummer! But I do have to say, I have loved getting his emails. They seem more detailed and thoughtful and I guess more meaningful than a phone conversation, that in no doubt would be interrupted by our loud rambunctious boys. They treat Sunday like a regular work day, and he said that there were over a 1000 horses there and cowboys and from his description- to me it sounds like Lonesome Dove- without the whores:)-of course.
I hope he enjoys it, he's been eagerly waiting to go on this rotation for over a year now. It should be great. So onto the next week, just 4 more to go till he's home again!
Hang in there! Wish we were there to help:) Good luck job hunting
