Easter 2011

This year for Easter we hit the Pullman City Egg Hunt Saturday morning. Scott dropped us off and we made it to the 3-4 year old section a minute or two before it started. Cam did a great job and really got into it this year. Then after his we went up to the older kids part and Scott met us with Travis and it was Spencer's turn. Spencer was funny because he would go straight in front of him and pass all the ones on the sides. We had fun with Slinky the clown and the Easter Bunny. Cam wanted to watch, but he would not go near. He's in the fun stage of anyone dressed up in a costume is scary stage. Butch was there as well as the firefighters. The kids had a blast. When we came home the kids rode bikes and later we went to do a little shopping. That afternoon we went out to the playground and had another egg hunt with some friends. It was such a beautiful day, the first this year, so we enjoyed the afternoon and the sunshine.

On Sunday we had Stake Conference at 9. So we let the boys find their Easter baskets but they couldn't get into them until after church.(You see the Easter Bunny hides our baskets after he's filled them.) It was a wonderful Easter and we enjoyed reading the Easter Story in the scriptures.  We are so grateful for our SAVIOR Jesus Christ and the many wonderful blessings and miracles that he did for the world and for us individually. I am so thankful he was able to overcome death and make it possible for us to live again. I am thankful for the blessings of eternal families and the knowledge that we will be with our families forever.

Kindergarten Musical!

So tonight Spencer had his first school musical-"How does your garden grow". It was so cute, and they kept it short too. Spencer has been so excited this week because he would get to tip a pretend hat and say YeeHaw and to bow to the audience at the end. He did a great job and we were glad daddy could make it. We gave him a Starburst at the end because he truly shined tonight. If any of you know Spence, or have seen him at church primary programs, you would know that he doesn't like to get up and sing in front of people. So for him to get up and be on the front row and do everything it was a big deal for him.

This little Hoe-Down was quite hilarious!

We love ya Spencer, you did a great job tonight and we are so proud of you!

(Sorry for the shaky videos-I was either laughing or had cam pushing on my arm.:))

Travis is now 9 months old! It is amazing to me how fast they grow. We had his doctor appointment yesterday and here are his stats:

Weight: 20.8lbs 49-50%

Height: 27 inches 8%

Head Circumference: 18 inches 55%

Travis is so close to crawling. He can go from sitting to the crawl stance and back. He gets up and rocks or bounces forward. In the last few days he has moved his arms forward but isn't coordinated enough to do legs and arms at the same time. Soon buddy you will have this all figured out and it wont be so frustrating. He gets to where he wants though, by scooting back or rolling ... Travis loves to play with paper and or eat it. He has been doing a lot better eating solids since he's been feeling better. He loves music and singing. He does the funniest thing though,he stares at your mouth when you sing- like he is mesmerized, and its definitely not because i am singing..:) He is a cuddle bug and loves attention. and he is babbling so much right now. He loves bath time and peek a boo. We love you trav!

Im loving it

We finally got our computer fixed, and I am loving being in touch with the outside world again. I have truly missed my computer.

Our dear little Travis is 9 months old now! Wow where has the time gone? He is scooting backwards and rocks on his knees just getting the movement for crawling. I'm sure it will be any day now. Its so exciting to see him learn and he is such an amazing little boy. I have friends at church who come up to me and want to hold him so they can have a weekly dose of Travis. He loves people and I am so grateful for his fun personality. This last week our boys came down with hand, foot & mouth virus. It is a horrible
virus, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. On top of that Travis got his two upper front teeth. So he now has four. He is eating solids like a champ and when we took him in he was 20 lbs! So we hope he starts crawling and can lose some of that. But I am so glad he is healthy. He loves to laugh and play, and we are loving this stage.

Cameron is doing great. He loves being able to have joy school twice a week and preschool for four days a week. He is so smart. He is recognizing letters all around him and all his shapes and colors. This week we went to the pet store in Moscow and had a field trip. He loves animals and really loved the turtle. He loves playing firefighters with Spencer and riding bikes. He is really liking books and puzzles and coloring. He is a very picky eater and lives on and loves yogurt, string cheese and crackers. He just learned how to fold his own clothes and loves being able to help mom that way. He loves saving everything he makes and he really likes outer space and rockets.

Spencer is finishing up Kindergarten! Crazy that my kids are getting so old. He is able to read almost all of the sight words, and is sounding out words really well. He tries writing words as he sounds them out, and he tries really hard and is doing great. He loves playing with his friends and riding bikes. His favorite subject in school is recess! And then its computer lab. He likes to help out at home and plays really well with his brothers. He is obsessed with Firefighters and plays that a lot with his friends. Like putting on snow pants and snow boots, using the water noodle as hoses, fire hats, and walkie talkies...... they have great imaginations. He is really into collecting things- anything from rocks to animal bones he found outside(Gross).

Scott has been busy this semester and we are looking forward to all his course work being done in MAY! I cant believe how fast vet school has come and is going. It is very exciting to us. One year from May he will be a Doctor! and we can move on and settle down. He is in a surgery electi
ve and has really loved performing surgeries. The last one he did was on a goat. The next one will be on a cow. Did i mention he loves surgery?:)

I am staying very busy with sick kids (every other week it seems) and I also took on a babysitting job until the end of June. I have two kids in the day, and another on school holidays. So that's 4 kids for half the day and 3 the second half. Its so nice having some extra money and I am saving up to buy a really nice camera. I'd love to get into photography, so that's my plan. I have a new calling on the activity enrichment committee and its been a lot of fun.

So that's a little catch up. Oh, and we finally got our family pictures back, and I like them a lot. Here are some of them:
