Hopefully in time for the little ones

Ok- I have 2 great websites we found that are great for Christmas Eve. Go to:portablenorthpole.tv and get a personal letter and or video message directed to your kids from Santa Clause! It is totally awesome and my kids think it was the greatest thing ever. The other one is www.nordasanta.com where you can track where Santa is all night! I'll put pictures up when i can. Way fun for your children. Another fun thing that we do is Reindeer food. We mix oatmeal and glitter in a jar and go out on the roof or deck and through it out in the snow. (Just be sure to go out after and trample it down and cover it up a little). We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

My Day

So what a day. I dont even know where to start. Its the first day of finals week and scott needed a ride this morning, as well as spencer, to school. The roads really weren't too bad, and i got them all dropped off and in class fine. I got Cameron loaded up and the dashboard pops up low gas, almost empty(I forgot it was low as we went into Moscow last night for the Messiah concert, which was very good, I must say.)So we drove to the nearest gas station to get gas, come home, play...play, and bundle Cameron up to go and get Spencer off the bus, have a snowball fight,(or in other words, cameron picking up snow-walking up to me-and hitting me with his gloved hand).(It got more heated when Spencer got home:) Then after we were all wet and cold, we came in and had lunch and I layed the boys down for naps.
I then made more neighbor treats, and started dinner. I was cooking the chicken in a frying pan and it started splattering oil all over, I quickly picked up the pan, turned down the heat, put it back, and then turned around to get a washcloth and some paper towels and fell flat on my bum. I had to laugh at myself as noone else was there to see it, and Im sure it looked hilarious. I wonder what my neighbors thought? hmmm... oh well. I finished the chicken and made chicken and rice on the stovetop. Different, as I normally bake it in the oven, but equally delicious. Packed Scott dinner. Then the boys and I ate ours. Spencer wasn't feeling well and had a headache, gave him some medicine, and bundled us all up and took Scott dinner at school. Gotta love finals week...Right? Came home, read books, bedtime routine, prayers, Songs: (we sang Christmas songs ofcourse)I grabbed some jingle bells and we sang Jingle bells and Rudolph the red nose reindeer. It was great...the kids thought that was extra special, which made me feel better about my day. Now I check my emails, blog, and put off dishes and laundry. woof.
(Now all this is ofcourse summarized. It sounds like it all happened right after the other but its just my condensed version).Sorry soo long, I just thought I'd share my crazy day with all.

The most wonderful time of the year

I love this time to focus on our Savior and to teach our children the importance of his birth as the rest of the world celebrates and recognizes this wonderful miracle and gift we all recieved. I know we teach these things all year as well, but there is a special spirit and excitement that come at this Christmas season, truly making this the most wonderful time of the year!

Santa Clause

This year, Spencer is so excited for Santa. Last week Walmart had Santa there and you could get a free complimentary picture with Santa. Spencer didnt hesitate this year, he wasn't afraid or needing me or anything. I was so proud of him! He's really growing up..Cameron was excited too, I think because Spencer was, but he needed a little prodding and then he only mouthed what he wanted: A horse. These are just my quick photo's, I get to pick there complimentary ones up this week.(hopefully there better):)

Almost ready

Its getting close to Christmas! Only 12 more shopping days left. This month seems to have flown by. Next week is finals, and I am so excited!!!to be done ofcourse. That sounds bad when im not even the one who has to take the tests, but it will be a big relief in our home when it is all done. So earlier this month we did our decorating, but in small sorts this year. We gave our imitation old hand-me-down Christmas tree away last year...it was time. And last year we put it up and it was great, but then we left and were gone over Christmas and came home and took it down, and it was really just more work for me. So we decided that we would buy a real tree this year if we were staying, which we aren't. So this year I only have minimal lights in windows, door decorations and stockings. Its nice, but I miss having a tree. We have found the Christmas radio station and we are all very excited to spend Christmas break with our families. This week we have been making our neighbor gifts, belly-button pretzels and cream cheese brownies....ummm, yummy.

Fresh Eggs

So before Thanksgiving, we went and visited our friends the Andersons out in Colton. And we went with them to collect eggs out from the chicken coop and they found 5. Spencer and Cameron had a blast playing and that was a delicious Apple turnover Nancy! So funny, so this week we have been sick inside, with colds fever and nausea. Spencer and Cameron were playing, and Cameron wanted something Spencer had, ok was sitting on. And I asked Spencer what he was sitting on, and he lifts his legs up and and says, " Mom, these are not toys, these are my fresh eggs!" HaHa! Gotta love it!

Recap!

So it has taken me sooo long to get to this, with good reason though. We have been soo oober sick. And we are all on the mend, so I hope that this is the only thing we get this winter.Anyways... Thanksgiving was great! My family came up and spent 4 days and it was a lot of fun. My sister brought her Wii and we played, went shopping, went with my mom and two sisters to New Moon, had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, and we still have leftovers! I am so grateful for all of our family, friends, and this gospel. We can't wait to see everybody on Christmas Break. Not many pictures, but here's some of our fun!

Ok so it looks like on my camera all I have is Spencer kicking our butts at wii bowling! Go Spence, He got a 222!

Twinkle Bells

This week we havent been feeling to well, seems to just be the cold hopefully... On Friday we had our first snow that actually stuck. Spencer and Cameron were so excited! They kept saying "were going to have a white Christmas after all." Or "I cant believe its snowing, thats totally awesome!"Super Funny. I wonder if I was that excited as a child to see the first snowfall? Probably. On errands that day, we taught Cameron- Spencer's new version of Jingle Bells: Twinkle Bells. Cameron loved it and now does a great HO HO HO. Scott finally finished weeks of tests after stinking tests, and we took the weekend to relax and be together. We did have lots of fun in the snow, which is now melted. I loved it! So here's some fun pictures from the weekend!

Hair cuts and the Dentist

So this week I cut both Scott's and Spencers hair. On Spencers hair, i tried just using the scissors, not the trimmers. Not too bad...Luckily his hairs so blond you cant see all the uneven sides:) So grateful for a guinea pig. I'll get better Spence, I promise.

Yesterday Spencer went to the Dentist, and I think Cameron had more fun! Spencer did awesome, and Yea! no cavities! Check out my glasses and toys! Sorry Cameron was just so cute wearing his glasses, i just had to show you. They gave them a bag full of fun things for your teeth, that I think that made the dentist experience more fun. It's funny, Spencer was really apprehensive this time, Its funny how kids see things in a different perspective. I was thinking drills, shots, nope it's the masks!...He said they looked like monsters. Ha Ha. Love you boys!

Happy Halloween

So we really have been trick or treating for 3 days. On Thursday night was our wards trunk or treat, oh bytheway it snowed that day. Then on Friday, we went to the Vet school kid's party. And Saturday we went trick or treating around our complex. Cameron was Batman, and all week has been saying batman, nanananana Batman! Spencer wanted to be a turtle. So my sewing machine and me are on the outs and i ended up stitching it all by hand. hence the ghetto fabulous turtle shell! But Spencer didn't care, he loved it! We had a lot of fun this year and way to much candy. and i learned that Spencer finds jack o"lanterns hilarious. all in all a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Gramba-Bear

We love you Grandma! We are very blessed to have such a great gramba bear! We sure love being with you and hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Weekend Feed Crew

This weekend we spent together, it was awesome! Scott works for WSU's animal resource unit feeding animals on the weekend. So, we went along and had so much fun! It was like our own personal, free petting zoo. The kids loved it! Spencer usually goes with him, so he spends the first day being our tour guide. Super cute. We fed cows, calves, horses, sheep, goats, big horn sheep, ponies, and the draft horse Seamus. We had to load and stack hay, OK I let Scott do that, but it was a lot of fun. So much fun, we went with dad to his wards stake conference today, so we could go with him afterwards. We went on a hayride, and the kids even got some early drivers training. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Spencer and Cameron have really been liking the van. They say its the coolest van ever. HA HA.. Maybe not ever, it definitely has its quirks, but its bigger and newer, a step up you might say. Hopefully it will get us through vet school and beyond.

A Surprise

It was a lot of fun this week to have Grandpa and Aunt Shannon come and surprise spencer for his Birthday! Too bad it rained all the day long as spencer would say, but we still had a lot of fun together. Grandpa came to have a sleepover with Spencer because Spencer told him thats what he wanted. How cute huh. Throughout the rain we made rolls and went to the library, I got to nap, and go listen to Scotts Diagnostic Challenge presentation without kids. It was great. We went to the Grizzly bear research place to see the baby cubs, super cute. And Granpa went to school with Spence. Thanks for coming guys and for all the love and support from all of our families. We are truly blessed because we have you!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Spencer! He turned 5 on Wednesday and I cant believe that he is so old. Time really flys and I have loved every minute of it with you Bud. You are always so happy and have the best facial exspressions. You are very smart and know all your letters, and numbers, and are starting to sound the words out. You make friends easy and have a lot of fun in Preschool. Cameron is old enough now, that you to can really play together and I love when you help teach him the things you know to be true. I love you Spencer, We are so happy to have you in our family and you bless our lives so much!

Wow WEE! Check out my big boy bike! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Thomas!

Such a blurry shot! You could tell he was excited!

Spencer wanted Macaroni and Cheese with corndogs for his birthday supper. How easy is that. But then he wanted Banana cake. Yikes. But we found a great recipe and it was delicious says he. Thanks to everyone for the awesome presents and packages you sent! It really helped him have a wonderful birthday!

What a blast!

So last night we decided we would decorate for Halloween for FHE activity. We pulled out some of our decorations and Spencer and Cameron were so excited. "Lets see, where should this go?" for like 10 minutes the these two would consult on the best place and once they chose where it went, they would say" ohh, This looks so awesome!, and Cam say, so awesome." we cut out spooky shapes and colored them and then we put them up for decoration.

So this morning, Spencer made me promise not to finish decorating without him. He was pretty worried about it:) So when he came home from school, we finished and played dress up. Then these two walked around looking at all of the decorations like they were in a museum. It was so cute. It makes it alot more fun to have your kids finally start to get into the holidays. They were so excited!
This year Cameron is to be Batman. We found a batman pj with a cape on clearance this last winter, and it will be perfect for him, since he's so picky. Well he put it on and was running thru the house to make his cape fly singing Batman!NA Na Na Na NA NA!Adorable, pics to come.Cameron also had a little accident at the grocery store this morning and needless to say, there was a puddle. humorous I must say, and quite embarrassing. But tis the life with children. Spencer wants to be a turtle for Halloween. Yikes! I need a little brainstorming on how to do the shell? any suggestions? Please let me know.Heres some more pics my kids were oohhing and aahhing over.
