Happy Birthday Cameron!

  

I cant believe how fast time goes. My little cam is now 4! We had a great day yesterday. This year we threw Cameron a friend party. It was so much fun! It was his first non family or traveling party and it will be his last in Pullman:( We invited a few friends and we met at Bumpers in the Moscow Palouse Mall. Its an arcade place that has a carousel ride, bumper cars, and a play area like at McDonalds with a ball pit. It worked great,they have 2 picnic tables and we decorated and it turned out awesome! We served chicken nuggets, grapes, apples and string cheese( a few of Cam's favorite foods) and we had a sweet football cake and punch. The kids played and we all ate and played some more. We opened presents and broke open the pinata! Thanks everyone for coming, you made his birthday so much better! We did have one incident of course, Cameron was sitting in the middle of the bench at the picnic table and turned around to get off and fell face first into the cement floor. Resulting in his first bloody nose! He was a champ though! He also loved getting packages in the mail, thank you family for being a part of this little guys birthday! He received some fun toys and a slip n' slide, a scooter, cowboy hat and boots, some clothes and he loves them all! Thanks everyone!

I love you Cam! This morning you climbed into my lap, gave me a hug and said, "I love you mom". I said, "I love you too birthday boy, Happy Birthday Cameron". And you said, "Happy Mothers Day mom"! You make me laugh and are very sweet. Your brothers love you very much and you are such a great helper! Thanks for being you cam. We love you and are so glad you are a part of our family!

A week to remember

So this last week was my last week watching my friends kids. It was crazy because Spencer and Whitney were out of school making my grand total of kids.......6! So i decided to do a little camp time due to the weather not being that great here in Pullman. Sooo.....

Day1= rainy day and we played inside

Day 2= we went to playgroup at the park, and it was a lot of fun. We came back and had lunch, and beloved naps-than we drew a ginormous 4 square game in our parking lot. We also decorated and flew our Frisbee flyers. 

Day 3=We decorated visors for the kids in the morning, then we rode bikes in the morning on our bike paths that Scott and me designed the night before. It was awesome with a figure 8 and a windy path. The kids had a lot of fun with this.And we basically did it all day.

 Day 4=We went to play at my friends house and stayed and had lunch there. It was good to get out and play with someone else and their toys. Thanks Kristen! We all had lots of fun! The kids were all so tired we came home for naptime! 

Day 5=Friday morning we went to the library for the reading programs activity-a comedic juggler-Matt Baker! He was great, he balanced a bowling ball on his head and juggled all sorts of things.After I signed the girls up for the summer reading program and we got some fun books to check out. The weather was 65ish and the kids really wanted to go swimming in our little pool and use their slip'n slide. So we went and got bug juices and lunch and came home and changed, packed up and went out behind the building and set up our picnic, pool, and slip n' slide. After lunch and a little bit of play they decided it was a little too cold and they spent a lot of time in their towels. The girls tried the slip n slide, and then told me they really don't like getting wet?! oh well they boys had fun on it, especially Travis-he loved it. 

 We had a lot of fun and even though Im done now and im glad , Im gonna miss those little ones.

Hill Family Reunion

So the week before Memorial Day, we packed up , rushed to plant our garden(which most of it died while we were gone due to the fun Pullman weather we've been having), and headed down to Pocatello to visit my family. Scott spent the days writing his senior paper at my sisters while she was at work so he wouldn't have any distractions. The boys loved being there and spent most of their time doing this:

For the weekend we traveled down to Malad to my Grandma Hills house. For all my life this has been the tradition to go stay at my grandmas, have lots of really good food, cut and arrange flowers and then go to the cemeteries and place them on the family graves while our parents spurt out family history information to us. We always play games, have sleepovers, and see all of our cousins. We spend days fishing and going to the ranch house, mowing lawns and exploring. So this year was only slightly different now that Grandma is gone and all the families are bigger. My mom and dad brought their 5th wheel and my cousin Jenny and her husband brought theirs. A bit to cold for tents though. It was fun to see most of my cousins and to catch up. I hope we keep the traditions alive. We went shot gun shooting with Amanda and Steve- she is truly a dead eye- quite impressive Amanda!(There it is in print for ya!) Monday night we came back to Pocatella and came home the next day. Spencer made good friends with his newer cousin Braeden. They were together all weekend-but i got no pics(If anybody else did I'd love some). And Cameron liked playing with Lily a lot until more girls came and boys were boys again-They had some pretty funny conversations.:)
So here's something out of the ordinary and will only happen in Idaho- Cameron had to use the JOHN, so we stopped in Dubois.. and had to wait for sheep! Yep sheep. They were herding them over the overpass and there were probably 500 or more! It was a lot of fun  for the boys. And I couldn't find my camera as it was packed away. Only in Idaho right?

Backlogging again...

Cameron "graduated" from preschool the 2nd week of May. He still has another year before kindergarten, but graduation is fun for everyone.... Right? He did great, he sang the songs and did actions, they had fun face painting and spent a lot of time at the firetruck asking questions and trying stuff on. He can write his name now and counts to 30. He is excited for next year and hopes to have the same teachers again. Thanks Ms. Dana and Ms. Miriam! Cameron had a great year!
