Nasty el' Nasty!

So I started fasting last night at 6. This morning I went into the hospital lab to start my 4hr test. After an hour of waiting, I was given this nasty lemon drink that is a stronger strength then the first one I had to drink. Needless to say, with 1/4 of the drink left- I lost it all. All over me, all over the carpet, disgusting. And quite embarassing, Im so glad it was so early in the morning. I then rang the bell with my elbow and was able to get into the lab to clean up. I was then told it's now null and void. I'll have to wait another 3 days to try again, and talk to the doctor to see what he wants. I hope they dont want me to do it again, maybe theres another test or something? So more waiting, and I'll probably have to do it all over again.Hopefully it will be more successful than this morning!

So this last week has been interesting and busy as usual. We went to awards night for the Vet school(where they announce scholarships for the upcoming year), and Scott recieved a $3000 scholarship! Nice huh. It will really help out a lot. It was a lot of fun and it was good to get out and be away from my kids and see friends. This week i also took that nasty glucose test. Which in my last two pregnancys, I have not handled well. I was so proud that i actually finished it in 1 minute and it didnt come back up. But unfortunately, i didn't pass the test. They told me the levels were "slightly elevated" and I now have to go back in and do a 3 hour test. Woof. But im really hoping i pass, so I can go spend some time down in Burley with Scott and our families. Heres hoping, and still dreading that nasty drink. Again.

The Countdown

So I am totally a list person. I love making lists, and I love checking them off.So here is the countdown for the summer... Or my next busy season:

1.) 2.5 weeks till school is out and Scott is a 3rd year!
2.) 2.5 weeks until Scott moves down to Burley, ID for his 2nd year dairy internship.
3.) 3 weeks until Spencer graduates from preschool!
4.) 4 weeks until we join Scott in Burley!
5.) 4.5 weeks until Scott's little brother gets home from his mission!
6.) 5 weeks until he reports.
7.) 6 weeks until Karadie and Paul bless baby Alex!
8.) 7.5 weeks until Cameron is 3!
9.) 10 weeks until scott comes back to Pullman!
10.) 10 weeks until Baby Morley #3 is here!

I know it seems like a lot to me too, but Im sure it will go fast, because time seems to be flying. And it will be really nice to have all the internships done by then and just have time together as a family for the rest of the summer.

Long drive, but worth every mile

So we went down to my Grandma's funeral last week in a very rushed trip of 3 days. We left at 2 on Wednesday,and we made it back to Pullman by 1:30 on Friday, and dropped Scott off at school. A lot of driving, but it was so nice to see my family and all of my cousins I havent seen in a long time. My Grandma looked beautiful and I am glad we were able to make it. I loved hearing my mom and Aunts & Uncles speak about my grandma. My Aunt Renae told a quote from my grandma about death and sadness and how we can help others. "You cant fix the sad, But you can bring(or share?)a little happiness to them. What a great attitude. I know that when death occurs to friends and family and those around us, were not sure what to do or what we can say to help or to show we care. I think a big one is listening, and service. Not pushy service, but sincere service. We can't fix the sad, but we can bring a little happiness to them by loving them, listening to them , sincere service and being their friend always. Atleast thats how I see it. I am thankful for the wonderful example and memories that were shared about my Grandma. She was indeed an elect lady whom I love and miss.

Grandma Hill

My Grandma Hill passed away on Saturday April, 10, 2010 at the age of 96. She was such an amazing grandma and friend. I miss her so much, but im glad she's not suffering or in pain.Some of my favorite memories of Grandma are going to her house for holidays, eating around the pool table, memorial day when we'd all get together and put flowers on all the graves in Malad. Going walking early in the morning, the ranch, I loved that she was always interested in what you were doing, and she always prayed for everyone of us. She had such a strong testimony and I loved her gift of bringing family together and making many sweet memories for me. I love her big maple tree in the front yard which we all used to climb. Walking to church, sleeping in the living room with all my cousins listening to records- I remember a train and thunder and lightning:)
I remember Grandma had a vhs of "Yours, Mine, and Ours" with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda that I watched with her once and I loved it. That year for Christmas she recorded it for me and I still have that copy:) I loved living in Logan and having her and Aunt Renae or Aunt Eileen stop by, or sometimes even Aunt Rae randomly to see us. She would bring my boys a present like little Easter baskets that were those strawberry plastic containers. She never missed sending birthday cards,and I will forever treasure the quilts me and my children have been given. She always came to hold my new babies so she could love them. I am going to miss her so much. But she has left a great legacy for me. The importance of family and doing things together, always keeping busy, serving others, and love.I have a wonderful example of who I want to become more like in my life. Because if in my end I could be anything like her, I know I would have succeeded. I love You Grandma!

Bad Back

So over spring break I asked my dear husband to do a chore for me that I didn't want to do- knock all the wasps nests down from our deck. Last summer I wouldnt let the kids go out there because they would get stung everytime. He willing agreed and we couldnt believe he knocked down 15 nests! He took the boys downstairs to pick up all the fallen ones and saw a few more he had missed. So as he knocked these down, he stood up and was in immediate pain. Now, many of you dont know this, but scott who is going to be an animal dr in a couple of years, has no faith in human dr.s. or medicine. Ironic I know:) So he went two days before he would take IbuProfen, a week of pain later,and he started taking some of my old muscle relaxer meds, and two weeks later shaving in the mirror and realizing he's crooked. I made an appt. with a chiropractor for the next day and Scott recieved a blessing that night. Luckily, we found a chiropractor who just happens to be a great guy and has really helped us out. Scott is now able to make it thru a whole day of class, is off all meds, and is standing straight again! A couple more weeks and were golden.Im glad he's getting better, I felt really bad for making him do the chore I didnt want to do (but could have) and him getting hurt. So glad he loves me! Sorry no pics, I didnt think of it until now.

Back Blogging

Ok sorry,we are going to go back to cover the last two weeks or so. So much has happened and I dont want to miss a thing. So Conference/Easter weekend we had Grandpa and Grandma Morley come and visit. It was a lot of fun and we are missing them being here.They also brought us some things we requested, like bunk beds, the animal book, and the grasshopper game. We found a great deal on bunkbeds on Craigslist in SLC and had them go check them out and get them for us!We watched Conference in our living room on our laptop and had some very good food, the boys really enjoyed cooking with grandma as well. The kids had a blast having sleepovers every night and wrestling with Grandpa inbetween Conference.
