When it makes it all worthwhile

So i was reading to the boys the book, Puff the Magic Dragon for bed the other night and it has all the lyrics to the song. So I'll read it, and then go thru and sing it to them. And the boys were really hyper and didn't want to settle down. And in our house, if you cant lay quietly during the bedtime story, then we stop and give you a warning and if they do it again after that, were done. Well, Cam kept getting up and jumping on his bed and blowing bubbles and spitting and laughing. And I gave him his warning and it persisted and Spencer jumped in a little too, so I told them i was done and goodnight, and left. And i was sitting in the living room, feeling bad for leaving their good nights like that, and debating on what i should do, and 5 minutes later, Spencer and Cameron come out of their bedroom and Cameron walks down the hall and looks at me and mumbles something, and I ask him what he's saying and he repeats it again. Still don't understand, and Spencer steps forward and says, "Mom he's trying to apologize. Say your sorry for jumping on the bed Cam," "I'm sorry bed mom." Say your sorry for spitting and blowing bubbles". " Sorry spit bubbles mom." Say sorry for laughing." Sorry laugh mom." And then he ran to me and gave me a humongous hug! And yes, i promptly forgave him and my worries vanished. I was so proud to have children who sensed their ways were wrong and new the solution to the problem. They do hear us when were talking to them, even if it doesn't seem like it. It was so adorable. I gave them both hugs and we were able to redo it all over and it was a great good night! Iam proud of Cam wanting to say sorry, and proud of Spencer helping his brother do the right thing! I love it, and I love them! it's the little things like this that make all the other days worth it.

What a skunk!

So this week Mr. Cameron gave me the biggest scare. He had taken an earlier nap and when it came time for his normal nap he wasn't tired, of course. So we were playing and matching pictures and toys and having some good one on one time while spence was napping, and he went into the toy room to get a toy and didnt come back out. And I waited like 3 or 4 minutes and went to look for him, hoping he had fallen asleep and he wasnt there, and i turned around and my front door was standing wide open! Yeah, i know! So I run outside calling his name and I am looking everywhere, because it hasnt been too long.. and he's gone. so i run back inside thinking maybe he was in another room in the house, and hes not. So im panicking now. I ran outside and saw a neighbor outside and asked if she had seen him and she hadnt seen anyone. And i cant believe he would ever leave or just go outside, but i ran up to the playground and asked a friend there if she'd seen him and no. So i am yelling his name, looking between buildings, and come back to our building and decide to go neighbor to neighbor and i decide to go to my friend Carrie's house first, and low and behold that little devil is over there! PLAYING! I had gotten her a little present and was going to take it over to her later, and im guessing, but Cameron saw it and decided he would take it to her and then stay and play with her kids!Needless to say, I was a wreck, thankfully she kept him there. that was so scary. I am very grateful for good neighbors aswell, who kept looking and were searching down by the marshes. And yes, the childs lock is on the front door again(the first one broke) and i am still mystified as how he slipped out without me knowing. Later that day he also flushed a roll of toilet paper or tried to while i was cooking dinner. Nice huh. but then there are the good days too... What a skunk!

What a week! Phew.....

So this week started out with Spencer crawling into our bed saying, "Mom, i dont feel so good, my tummy aches." And me asking, well whats it feel like as i look at the clock and it's 3:45... I need a drink of water. Thankfully I had some by my bed and he crawled down and got it and sat on the floor drinking...when suddenly he vomits all over the floor and on my pillow. WOOF. So spencer woke up with the flu, and everyone here in Pullman are being cautious @ the swine flu cases here, where they even announced in church not to come if anyone in your house even had 1 symptom. So lucky Spencer got out of a talk in primary. And we stayed home. Cameron had a mild fever. But alas it was only a 2 day flu bug. Then we had shots this week, dr. appt.s, school. Scott just took his first test of the semester today. Good luck Daddy! Scott's Little SIB and his wife just had their baby this morning at 2 something. Another little girl, 8 lbs. 6 oz. 20 ", but the name isnt there yet. So congratulations to the Noall's!They have the cutest little girls. We've had a lot of fun watching them this week.
Just a little side note,When I saw Christina last night, as she was leaving for the hospital, I remembered something. The moment where the pain of child birth that we suppress until were there and think oh crap, I remember that... and then a little bit of fear for me. Cause ive been thinking about maybe having another and how much fun little ones are, and then when i saw her and she had that look, and i remembered. And now im thinking not so much. Sorry im just ranting on and on...I took the girls up to the hospital today and we saw the baby, and she's beautiful. i dont know, that might make up for it...Im ready for a NAP

A summer of first's

This summer we have had a lot of first's so bear with me. And here we go!

1.The 1st time living with someone else! We love you Great Grandpa Morley!
2.Kids first time on Grandpas golf cart!

3.1st time and hopefully only time Spencer crashed the golf cart into grandpa's house while trying to drive it! He was so scared. he totally thought he could handle it and disobeyed and oh boy!Sometimes you learn the hard way!
4.1st time we went to the Burley toilet! I mean kids pool. They actually call it that though:)

5.Cameron turned two June 18th!We had a lot of fun with family and had a little party with my Mom and Dad and Karianne, Grandpa, Aunt Tammi and Jayme, Uncle Tony and Aunt Jane and Craig.

6.My first wheelbarrow cake! you eat or serve it with shovels! So fun and so easy! & a bonus toy! What could be better!

7.Scott's little brother got married to miss(MRS.)Kimmie! July 17th!Pictures to come, as soon as i find that adapter! We are so excited for these guys! Super cute!
8.We have been searching all summer for these frogs which are so elusive... i mean scotts in his mucking boots out in the swamp marsh outside and were out with flashlights and still could'nt find them. But alas, we were told there were tons up at terre view park and we went there one night and there were so many of them. Super small, but so many that the ground looked like it was moving! The boys loved it! We caught 8 and kept 2. Scott built a terrarium and we had them as pets for 3 weeks. The sucky part was catching bugs every day. Fun at first and then a chore thereafter. We let them go on Labor Day because we couldnt catch them enough food, its getting too cold. So we all marched out and said goodbye and the kids said they'd see them next year. Bye, love you.. Way too cute.

9.Scott was called to be the 2nd Counselor of the singles ward here, two weeks after we started going to the family ward. and then church changed to 1p.m..... Its actually not that bad. Everyones really nice, and the kids are getting used to it. But I sure did take Scott for granted being there with me. Never again.:)
10.Spencer learned how to ride his bike without training wheels and it took him all of what a week! He loves it and is performing tricks like taking his foot off the pedal:)But he did run into the back of that parked truck....

11.Went to Island Park with my parents for the weekend and had a lot of fun. We went to West Yellowstone and bought a family christmas ornament(tradition), and went to Big Springs to feed the ginormous fish there(sorry u cant fish there-illegal). I love Island Park. Hopefully we can get there for a whole week next summer.

12. Spencer started Preschool this last week. He loves it,and was excited that half of his class is there again this year. He has a new teacher, Mrs. Shana. and of course he gets to ride the bus. Funny but all the preschools have these short buses, but the kids dont care, its just their size and they love it. Cameron wanted to go this year. He even wore his backpack to take and pick up Spencer from school. Next year buddy.
13. We bought our first vehicle since being married! And yes its a minivan! A pontiac montana. Never heard of it, me neither, but i sure like it. An old family friends son is a dealer in Boise and watched the auctions for us and got this one off another dealer. Pictures to come.. Thanks Dad and Doug for driving it up to us this week! You guys are awesome!
14. And scott has started his 2nd year of vet school. He likes it alot better than first year. They say each year gets better. Im excited for him and i am very proud of how hard he works. Love you hun!Eu Amo' Te
