Preschool Fun!

So today at Spencer's school they had Police Officer Anderson come and talk to the class and explain what policemen do. Cameron and I thought it would be fun to come along have fun as well.

As you can see my boys were mesmerized:) They were shown his taser, his hidden radio, pepper spray, handcuffs, and then we were taken out to his patrol car and they got to see inside and watch the lights and hear his loud speaker. I had to laugh at this, they were each given the chance to look in the backseat and to touch it, (The seats are made of plastic and are very hard)and cameron decided he wanted to just get in. He climbed on up and in and then sat down and was trying to buckle himself up. Dont make a habit of this one Cam...:)

We stayed and had lunch with Spencer and had a lot of fun together. They even let Cameron ride the bus home, in which I'm told he giggles the whole way home:) He cant wait to go next year!
So last night the boys decided they wanted to play construction. So we cleaned up the trains and went and donned hard hats, got the blocks and orange caution(soccer)cones out. The boys were to cute as they sang the wonderpets song "Whats gonna work teamwork" as they pushed the big box of blocks out to the living room.

We had so much fun. We blocked up the opening to the fox hole(the square between the couches that they love to play in), and built a fort/house.

One ofcourse that animals live in.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Hope everyone is having an awesome day!Today we spent together. We took the boys out to lunch to McDonalds and let them play in the playarea. Then after much needed naps, Scott took the boys out to play outside and I went shopping. I decided to cook tonight, which I havent been doing a lot of real meals while being pregnant. It smells really good, and I tried to make it a fun green theme. When I was little my mom always did fun things even for the little holidays. So im trying my best to make holidays a special time for my family. Its no corned beef or cabbage mom, but I know you"ll be proud because they are smothered in onions and peppers.:) two foods that are not my favorite. Maybe my taste buds are changing. I even put food coloring in the juice. But alas, the cake was last minute and store bought. Thats really my kind of cooking lately.

Spring Break and Potty training!

So this week starts spring break for Scott. A much needed break for him and me. I have booked the week up with Dr. appointments for me and the kids so he can be here to help me. Scott has left for a trip with some professors and a friend to inspect some bulls in Omack? Its northern WA somewhere for a couple of days. We will be glad to have him back. The kids have been having a lot of fun with him this weekend, and have plans with their daddy for when he returns. I hope the weather gets warmer....

So Cameron is two years and nine months and will turn 3 a week or so before his little brother will come. And he has been interested in potty training for a while now, off and on. But lately he'll tell me or just go sit on his little potty and do his business. Its great. He really is doing an awesome job. Were trying to go the whole day with just underwear,we'll see. Lets hope it works. It would be so awesome to have him potty trained before this next one! Heres hoping:)

So we are so excited to meet our new little nephew. They named him Alexander Lloyd Jacobsen. Super cute. Mom and baby are doing fine, and get to come home today. And bonus, we get to see him in May! We cant wait. Our little one will only be 3.5 months younger and we are excited to have cousins the same age.Spencer keeps including him in our prayers and it goes like this: "Thank you for my family you sent to earth and for my new uncle, and we are excited to see him." We keep explaining that its your cousin and such, but he always goes back to that in his prayers. He asks things like will we only see him once? or what house will he live in? The night he was born we told them they're cousin was here and that he had just come from heaven. And they said is he an angel? And of course, we said yes, he's an angel baby sent from heaven to their family. They thought that was pretty exciting, they were jumping around and shouting. It's so fun to see and hear the innocence of children, especially my own. We are all very excited to see you guys.

Preschool Olympics

So this week in preschool Spencer and his class have been learning all about the olympics and the importance of exercising. They made gold medals and class flags and have been practicing all week for todays Olympic Games and the closing ceremony. Every day Spencer came home to tell me about how high or how far he jumped and the # of times he did it. So today we went to watch and it was so much fun, even with the cold wind. Here are some fun pics! Spencer and his friend Sarah were the flag holders too! Cameron had a blast, and ofcourse jumped right in with the rest of the kids in most of the activities. He is very ready to be there next year!
We stayed and ate lunch with his class, and then Cameron threw up. Nice huh. All in all I think they had a blast though.
