1st day of school, 1st day of school!

So Scott started his 3rd year last Monday. Halfway through babe. He is busy preparing a presentation at the society for theriogenology conference this week in Seattle, He leaves tomorrow. He also has a poster presentation which we just pulled out to look at- it looks awesome! He's going to be great, and have lots of fun I'm sure. Its a great opportunity for him and I am very proud of him.

Spencer started Kindergarten last week and has had lots of fun. He told me he loves his teacher. And I said you love her? And he went on to tell me that he likes her so he loves her. She has a pretty smile on her face, and she has cool shoes, and she does a lot for the classroom. Like duh mom- see all the reasons... Super funny:) I am glad he likes it though. Its going to be a great year for him.

Cameron starts school next week and will be doing joy school in the mornings 2 days a week and preschool 4 days a week in the afternoon. Everyday he asks if he can go to school yet, I think its because he wants to wear his new lighting McQueen shoes that i told him he couldn't wear until school started, I'm sure it has nothing to do with Spencer going to school already:)

Our week with family part 3

So Wednesday night we arrived in West Jordan to Scott's parents house. Thursday morning we woke up early and throughout the day we did laundry, cutting up fruit and vegetables, making Scrapbook wedding pages for the guest book, and the most fun- decorating cupcakes. 500 cupcakes! Camellia made all these wonderful cupcakes- brownie chocolate chunk- delicious and Karadie and me went to town.(Decorating of course). It was actually a lot of fun and it went really fast. The openhouse was that night and was beautiful. We were also able to get a four generaton Picture with Great Grandpa Morley!

Friday we woke up and got ready to head to Logan for the wedding. It was beautiful! And Shilahs dress was gourgeous! It was great to be there and to have all the family in the temple. The reception was in the park and it was a great day! We got back to our sleeping arrangements and crashed late that night. We woke up the next day and left for home. One week with family and we were able to do so much and to see everyone, it was great.

Our week with family part 2

So Monday we went with my family up to Island Park where my family always goes camping and took a couple days to relax and camp. Kind of funny to be sleeping in the big blue circus tent again with my family. I have many memories of that tent... good times. Hopefully my kids will have some as well. Aunt Karianne and Aunt Shannon were there and we loved playing games and having fun on the four wheeler. Karianne brought her new dog "Lady Sadie", that she let the boys name after Travis was born, and they had a lot of fun with her. Spencer enjoyed his first snow cone with cream and Cameron caught a fish with Daddy and Grandpa. They cooked it the next day for breakfast and the boys loved it. "He was Yummy and delicious!"The boys after playing in the river- they came home looking like Huck Finn's! Spencer's family portrait in his vacation journal. Super funny and awesome! the bottom says "I didn't draw anyone cute, just me.":)

Our week with family

So we were going to bless Travis on August 1st here in Pullman, but decided against it due to the fact that not many of our family members could not come and Scott's sister was getting married shortly after. So we decided we would bless Travis the week of the wedding in Pocatello ID in my parents ward and then all of our family could come. It was truly a wonderful day. So we left Saturday the 14th, and Sunday we blessed him. Scott did such a great job, and we had everyone there and in the circle, so it was really neat.(and I am so grateful to my mom, who knows shorthand and was able to copy the blessing for us.) So after church we came back to my parents house where we had sandwiches and my moms amazing mustard sauce, salads, and homeade icecream toppings. It was a very special day and thank you everyone for coming and supporting us. It was also the first time my sisters and all of scotts family were able to meet travis. So I'll post lots of pics and quit jabbering. Oh, I have to say that this is the blessing outfit that Scott, his 2 brothers and now my 3 sons have all been blessed in. Cool huh.

Holy Smokes

Sorry it's been so long. So much has happened over this last month so I will start slow and try to jam it all in. We have been loving having Travis in our family. And I am truly blessed to have children who love each other. They are so stinking cute to Travis too, it's been fun watching them. The other night after baths i walked into the living room where Spencer and Travis were and found this: Spencer reading to Travis! Well almost reading:) So stinking cute!

They love to help mommy and daddy with him and fight over who gets to help first... Additionally, we've found out that three kids is a lot more trying than two. I am more tired, and I am also more wanted. Life gets busier as well and there just is never enough time to do what I need, or feel I need to get done. It is getting better, It was more just a surprise to us.
Anyways, we are doing great, busy as usual and getting back on schedule.

1 week & an appendectomy!

So much has happened since we had Travis on the 7Th. I just wanted to thank Scott for being such a great husband and support to me. And for blogging about Travis, (It was his first time-and he wouldn't let me see it in the hospital. I thought he did pretty good:) Anyways, Travis is doing great, he was a little jaundicy but did not have to go on a Bili bed, so that was good. He has tons of black hair and a prominent widows peak. And my favorite, he has dimples! I always wanted dimples cause they are so adorable! As soon as i can capture them on camera you'll see.
Sooo....Last Wednesday, I woke up and nursed Travis and got up to get ready and was hit with major cramps. I took some of my hospital meds and even took a bath to help, but nothing was working. I had to take Travis in to check his Bili Rubin and the kids really wanted to come with me( they have been mommy deprived I think) so my mom came as well. When we got there, we were late and they cancelled our appointment, and rescheduled it for an hour later. By then my cramps were crippling and I decided to go back down to labor & delivery to ask their advice and use their phone to call my doctor(left my cell phone @home). After talking to the doctor twice, I decided to go to the e.r. and make sure. It was a good thing I did though, turns out I had an appendicitis.... exactly one week after Travis was born. I went in for surgery that afternoon and came home the next afternoon.
Crazy, I know. But there were blessings as well. The first was that my mom was still here, so I had someone to be with my kids, and the second is that I have health insurance right now. If this happened months from now we wouldn't be so lucky. I am so grateful for a Heavenly Father who looks out for me and comforts and guides me in my life.

In other news Congratulations to my sister n' law Shilah and her beau Clarke on getting engaged! We are very excited for you guys!
And now some pics! This one is right after he was weighed! After his first bath!Sunday Forts! love these pics!
