So for those of you who haven't heard yet, the bun is still in the oven. I was induced last weekend and after 24 hours of back pain and contractions, I hit the full dose of Pitosin and was sent home. The doctors thought I might go on my own, but that hasn't happened yet. So I am set to be induced, yet again, tomorrow night, and start the whole process over again. I have always been induced at or before 39 weeks due to the eclampsia and blood clots and seizures with my first. So I am a little nervous to be getting closer to my due date with no change and the risk being higher for this to re-occur. I have been feeling OK health wise. My blood pressures up a little and I have one foot that is badly swollen, so I look like I have elephantitis. I think the hardest thing, was going through last weekend and being sent home. We had arranged time off for Scott, my parents came into town to be here, and nothing. It was really disheartening and, I admit it, I cried for a couple of days. But alas, time moves on and this baby will come, sooner than later hopefully. I just need to trust my Heavenly Father and know that this is what's right for my family and for this little guy. Hopefully I can introduce you all to him this weekend. I don't plan on walking out of that hospital again-baby-less.
On a side note, my kids were so cute. They planned a birthday party and made decorations and cupcakes and cards for their little brother and bought balloons to bring him, and decorated the house for his arrival. It will just have to be a belated birthday party. Wish me luck, because I really need it! Bonus-we are finally getting snow, and the forecast for tomorrow is 6-12 " of snow. Hope I can make it to the hospital, and that we don't get snowed in.
I am so excited to see the new little guy. I'm so sorry Katy, that is really upsetting, but you are right, he will be here in no time. I HATE being pregnant. You are such a trooper!
