Hill Family Reunion

So the week before Memorial Day, we packed up , rushed to plant our garden(which most of it died while we were gone due to the fun Pullman weather we've been having), and headed down to Pocatello to visit my family. Scott spent the days writing his senior paper at my sisters while she was at work so he wouldn't have any distractions. The boys loved being there and spent most of their time doing this:

For the weekend we traveled down to Malad to my Grandma Hills house. For all my life this has been the tradition to go stay at my grandmas, have lots of really good food, cut and arrange flowers and then go to the cemeteries and place them on the family graves while our parents spurt out family history information to us. We always play games, have sleepovers, and see all of our cousins. We spend days fishing and going to the ranch house, mowing lawns and exploring. So this year was only slightly different now that Grandma is gone and all the families are bigger. My mom and dad brought their 5th wheel and my cousin Jenny and her husband brought theirs. A bit to cold for tents though. It was fun to see most of my cousins and to catch up. I hope we keep the traditions alive. We went shot gun shooting with Amanda and Steve- she is truly a dead eye- quite impressive Amanda!(There it is in print for ya!) Monday night we came back to Pocatella and came home the next day. Spencer made good friends with his newer cousin Braeden. They were together all weekend-but i got no pics(If anybody else did I'd love some). And Cameron liked playing with Lily a lot until more girls came and boys were boys again-They had some pretty funny conversations.:)
So here's something out of the ordinary and will only happen in Idaho- Cameron had to use the JOHN, so we stopped in Dubois.. and had to wait for sheep! Yep sheep. They were herding them over the overpass and there were probably 500 or more! It was a lot of fun  for the boys. And I couldn't find my camera as it was packed away. Only in Idaho right?

Backlogging again...

Cameron "graduated" from preschool the 2nd week of May. He still has another year before kindergarten, but graduation is fun for everyone.... Right? He did great, he sang the songs and did actions, they had fun face painting and spent a lot of time at the firetruck asking questions and trying stuff on. He can write his name now and counts to 30. He is excited for next year and hopes to have the same teachers again. Thanks Ms. Dana and Ms. Miriam! Cameron had a great year!

4th Year...Finally:)

So it is official....dant-da-dum : Scott is now a 4th year! Which means he is done with so much studying and is on a full year of clinical rotations! We are very excited! And being the smart man that he is, his first rotation is vacation! Well one week of it. We are enjoying relaxing, sleeping in and playing games. I love having him home! The boys love having him home!And he has been such a big help to me. The weather has been awesome this week and i think we might go camping- we'll see:) So I made this ginormous cookie for Scott to celebrate being a 4th year- This pic was taken after transition ceremonies and orientation.

Isn't he a handsome 4th YEAR?:)! I certainly think so!Good job babe-

He's Crawling!

Travis is officially crawling. He has been so close for weeks now and on April 22nd he figured it out. He was so excited that he can get to what he wants and he loves the freedom. He gets very excited and gives these crooked smiles of happiness. I'll get a video soon so you can all see what I am talking about. We love you little buddy-good job! Now I've got to go do some baby proofing. He also has decided he loves to sleep on his stomach. And no matter how I get him to sleep, he always ends up that way. New food love this week- peas!

Update: So Travis is now 10 months old! He is changing and growing up so fast! He loves sweet potatoes, squash, anything fruit and loves Graham Crackers! He is definitely a mover and crawls everywhere. He loves exploring and keeps me sweeping constantly because whatever he discovers usually has to be taste tested as well. He focus' on people and watches them contently. I have had several people tell me lately that he has an attitude of wisdom-like he looks wise. Travis you make everyone smile, especially mommy and daddy. You started talking a little. You say dadda and momma (it happened in that order-yep:) and he says yeah.

Easter 2011

This year for Easter we hit the Pullman City Egg Hunt Saturday morning. Scott dropped us off and we made it to the 3-4 year old section a minute or two before it started. Cam did a great job and really got into it this year. Then after his we went up to the older kids part and Scott met us with Travis and it was Spencer's turn. Spencer was funny because he would go straight in front of him and pass all the ones on the sides. We had fun with Slinky the clown and the Easter Bunny. Cam wanted to watch, but he would not go near. He's in the fun stage of anyone dressed up in a costume is scary stage. Butch was there as well as the firefighters. The kids had a blast. When we came home the kids rode bikes and later we went to do a little shopping. That afternoon we went out to the playground and had another egg hunt with some friends. It was such a beautiful day, the first this year, so we enjoyed the afternoon and the sunshine.

On Sunday we had Stake Conference at 9. So we let the boys find their Easter baskets but they couldn't get into them until after church.(You see the Easter Bunny hides our baskets after he's filled them.) It was a wonderful Easter and we enjoyed reading the Easter Story in the scriptures.  We are so grateful for our SAVIOR Jesus Christ and the many wonderful blessings and miracles that he did for the world and for us individually. I am so thankful he was able to overcome death and make it possible for us to live again. I am thankful for the blessings of eternal families and the knowledge that we will be with our families forever.

Kindergarten Musical!

So tonight Spencer had his first school musical-"How does your garden grow". It was so cute, and they kept it short too. Spencer has been so excited this week because he would get to tip a pretend hat and say YeeHaw and to bow to the audience at the end. He did a great job and we were glad daddy could make it. We gave him a Starburst at the end because he truly shined tonight. If any of you know Spence, or have seen him at church primary programs, you would know that he doesn't like to get up and sing in front of people. So for him to get up and be on the front row and do everything it was a big deal for him.
