A summer of first's

This summer we have had a lot of first's so bear with me. And here we go!

1.The 1st time living with someone else! We love you Great Grandpa Morley!
2.Kids first time on Grandpas golf cart!

3.1st time and hopefully only time Spencer crashed the golf cart into grandpa's house while trying to drive it! He was so scared. he totally thought he could handle it and disobeyed and oh boy!Sometimes you learn the hard way!
4.1st time we went to the Burley toilet! I mean kids pool. They actually call it that though:)

5.Cameron turned two June 18th!We had a lot of fun with family and had a little party with my Mom and Dad and Karianne, Grandpa, Aunt Tammi and Jayme, Uncle Tony and Aunt Jane and Craig.


6.My first wheelbarrow cake! you eat or serve it with shovels! So fun and so easy! & a bonus toy! What could be better!

7.Scott's little brother got married to miss(MRS.)Kimmie! July 17th!Pictures to come, as soon as i find that adapter! We are so excited for these guys! Super cute!
8.We have been searching all summer for these frogs which are so elusive... i mean scotts in his mucking boots out in the swamp marsh outside and were out with flashlights and still could'nt find them. But alas, we were told there were tons up at terre view park and we went there one night and there were so many of them. Super small, but so many that the ground looked like it was moving! The boys loved it! We caught 8 and kept 2. Scott built a terrarium and we had them as pets for 3 weeks. The sucky part was catching bugs every day. Fun at first and then a chore thereafter. We let them go on Labor Day because we couldnt catch them enough food, its getting too cold. So we all marched out and said goodbye and the kids said they'd see them next year. Bye, love you.. Way too cute.

9.Scott was called to be the 2nd Counselor of the singles ward here, two weeks after we started going to the family ward. and then church changed to 1p.m..... Its actually not that bad. Everyones really nice, and the kids are getting used to it. But I sure did take Scott for granted being there with me. Never again.:)
10.Spencer learned how to ride his bike without training wheels and it took him all of what a week! He loves it and is performing tricks like taking his foot off the pedal:)But he did run into the back of that parked truck....


11.Went to Island Park with my parents for the weekend and had a lot of fun. We went to West Yellowstone and bought a family christmas ornament(tradition), and went to Big Springs to feed the ginormous fish there(sorry u cant fish there-illegal). I love Island Park. Hopefully we can get there for a whole week next summer.


12. Spencer started Preschool this last week. He loves it,and was excited that half of his class is there again this year. He has a new teacher, Mrs. Shana. and of course he gets to ride the bus. Funny but all the preschools have these short buses, but the kids dont care, its just their size and they love it. Cameron wanted to go this year. He even wore his backpack to take and pick up Spencer from school. Next year buddy.
13. We bought our first vehicle since being married! And yes its a minivan! A pontiac montana. Never heard of it, me neither, but i sure like it. An old family friends son is a dealer in Boise and watched the auctions for us and got this one off another dealer. Pictures to come.. Thanks Dad and Doug for driving it up to us this week! You guys are awesome!
14. And scott has started his 2nd year of vet school. He likes it alot better than first year. They say each year gets better. Im excited for him and i am very proud of how hard he works. Love you hun!Eu Amo' Te

So here we go again

I started this blog just before school ended and we left and now i will try to fill you in on our funfilled summer! In May, we loaded up the truck with everything you could imagine needing for a family of four for 6 weeks. And we went to Burley, ID. Scott had an internship in Jerome ID at a dairy,and since his grandpa lives in Burley we were all able to go. We ended up having a great time. The kids could go out and play and just have fun without me worrying about weirdi's lurking about. We were able to get to know Grandpa Morley a lot better, oh and he had ablast with the kids. Our friend Craig,(another vet student in scotts class)came and stayed there as well. We had a lot of fun visiting with family,(cause we were much closer) and having BBQs and being together. I really enjoyed having more time with Scott. He gets so busy during the school year and I loved every minute we had this summer. It was kind of sad last week when he started 2nd year. But its not been so bad, i am starting to readjust. One thing Vet school has taught me is that i am stronger than i knew and to cherish the time we have with each other.(oops, i guess thats 2:)

Just a shout out to my hubby Scott: CONGRATULATIONS on the scholarship! Friday night WSU VET School held its scholarship and awards program. Scott was awarded the Anna Conley Scholarship for $1000! Wahoo. I found the night amusing as they went through 170 awards to listen to the names like the chow chow award. It was great though to have a night out with Scott. He works really hard and i am super excited for school to be out, so we can spend more time with him. We love you and are proud of you Daddy!

Story continued

The Dr.s said it was a febrile seizure. And that is a convulsion in young children Age 6 months to 5 years. They say its pretty common, that is caused by a sudden spike in body temperature. So basically his fever spiked to fast for his little body. They released us and we had a fitful night as Cam woke up every hr. The next morning we went to our Dr. and he said it was pretty common. He doesnt think Cameron will have anymore, but that doesnt stop me from watching all his little movements and jerks. I probably will be doing this for awhile. 2 days later cam finally got back on schedule and was sleeping through the night. What a week. I just wanted to thank everyone for their help, prayers and concern. You guys are great and we are sure blessed to have great friends like you guys.

What a crazy month!

So April has been a real kicker sir. Between Easter which was befreezing cold and Spencer starting Pee Wee soccer(Pictures to come), we had a scary Monday. Cameron woke up Monday the 6th with a fever. We promptly gave him some Motrin and he spent the rest of the morning cuddling up. We went and got Spencer off the bus and came home and Camerons fever was getting higher. It was time for more meds and I gave him some. He started throwing a fit and I picked him up and grabbed his blanket and wrapped it around him. He was cuddling up when he just went limp. I turned to look at him and he started to seize! His eyes were rolling and it was kindof just jerky. I walked around debating on if I should call and thinking is this really happening. When he stopped breathing. That was it. I called and the ambulance was on the way. After his seizure stopped(which I felt lasted forever-but was more like 1-1.5 minutes, he started breathing again.He was still unconscious, not quite coming out of it yet. But by now, I am outside waiting with Spencer in the stairwell still holding Cameron. Just waiting for the ambulance- which took over 10 minutes! to get here. My upstairs neighbor Chune came home and realized what was happening. He took Cameron and held him and I was able to get a hold of our good friend Tarah and she took Spencer. I could'nt get a hold of Scott, as he was up at school. The ambulance and the paramedics came and took cam. I jumped in and Cameron started to come out of it. they were trying to get an I.V. in but couldnt. Poor kid. Our neighbor Carrie came home and saw us leaving in the ambulance and called her hubby ben to tell him. Now this is amazing. Carrie called ben,Ben was at the Nielsons, he tried calling Scott and couldnt get him. sam Called Craig Louder(another 1st year) and he was eating lunch with Scott. They told him. He checked his phone and had 15 missed calls. He called me and we were just passing the Vet School in the ambulance! Talk about fast. Sam was able to come and get Scott and take him home where Scott was able to get the truck and getto the e.r. in 15 min.
By now, Cam is awake, and not happy. They have succeeded in getting an IV in, but had to wrap it to a board with gauze because Cameron kept trying to pull it out. It was so sad. He kept crying and saying off.. ouch.
